Excitement is building as the Rocket League 2017 World Cup trailer video is now available. And it’s got a suitably stirring narrator from a slightly Patrick Stewart-esque narrator, before breaking into clips of the sort of action you can expect.
And obviously it looks way better than the chaotic carnage that occurs whenever we play.
The League of Rockets tournament will consist of 16 teams, representing 16 countries. Apparently more details will be released, with the competition taking place in the summer of 2017.
One thing we do know is that they can put together some very cinematic videos, including the previous Rocket League 2017 World Cup tease video.
The previous League of Rockets tournament was the invitational Twelve Titans Tournament. That featured 1 vs 1 matches with players Kronovi, JHZER, Kuxir97, Scrubkilla, Deevo, SquishyMuffinz, Paschy90, Lachinio, Maestro, Dappur, Turbopolsa and GreazyMeister.
And with a knock-out 1 match format, it meant that every game was important.
If you haven’t yet experienced the automotive football related joy and carnage of Rocket League, we definitely recommend it. Especially as a break in between serious racing sims.
