There’s been a big change made at the sim racing hardware manufacturer, as Simagic co-founder Tyler Wang has left the company.
Based in Shenzhen, China, the company began producing sim racing equipment in 2018, starting with the M10 wheelbase, GT1 wheel, and a 2.4G wireless quick release system. And they’ve since become well-established with the Alpha wheelbase range, the P1000 pedal system, and a range of wheels and wheel hubs among the range now available.
No precise reason has been shared for his departure, but Tyler Wang has been posting various videos announcing that he had left, and about his future in the sim racing industry.
Without speaking to those involved, there’s little point in speculation about what may have caused the decision. Simagic and the listed founder Jinquan Li haven’t commented, so we can only go on the videos and comments shared publicly by Wang, in which he did say,
“Currently, there are some significant changes happening. While I respect my partner’s decisions, the truth is that my role and contributions to the industry remain central to what Simagic has become today.”
Business partnerships can change for various reasons, as I know from personal experience. And it’s possible that people can disagree without either necessarily being right or wrong.

The one big change is that Tyler Wang has been particularly visible as the face of Simagic, appearing in many of the articles and video interviews about the company and representing the company at events like the ADAC Simracing Expo. And he’s also been heavily involved in sim racing communities, including the Simagic official owners and fan group on Facebook, where he’s continued to post since the announcement. So it will definitely be interesting to see where he ends up in the sim racing industry, and who could end up becoming the new public face of Simagic in the future.
