Kazunori Yamuachi has once again previewed the next vehicles to arrive, with three cars teased for Gran Turismo 7’s February 2025 update.
Due to be available on Thursday February 27th for the PS4 and PS5, Version 1.56 will bring a typically eclectic mix for you to drive, alongside any further fixes and improvements to the game. And the silhouettes are proving slightly hader than normal to identify.

Responding to the original tweet, a few people have guessed at a Peugeot 205 GTi. Gran Turismo 7 already includes a 1986 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 model in the current list of cars available in the game. But not any of the later 1990s models.
But it looks a little too boxy at the front to my ageing eyes, and there’s no visible cut-out on the edge of the bonnet for the headlights, or the slight overhang down to the front grille. So my guess would be a Volkswagen Golf 2 GTI. The Mk1 and Mk7 are both in the game, but there’s a big gap between them, and the 19E produced from 1983 until 1992 would start to fill that space.
At the back is some kind of pick-up truck which has a rounded roof on the roof, and a short wheelbase. That would potentially fit with a Mercedes-Benz Unimog, which has been around since 1948 as a multi-purpose AWD for use by civilians, the military and the emergency services. It has even won the Dakar Rally a couple of times.
The other option would be a number of Japanese trucks, from the original Honda T360 to the modern Kei trucks which have built a cult following around the world. The cab looks a little too rounded for the likes of a Suzuki Carry or Daihatsu Hijet, so it it’s not a Unimog, the T360 is the obvious choice as Honda’s first production automobile from 1963.
Last, but not least, is what appears to be a first generation BMW Z4. Available from 2003, the roadster and coupe have yet to appear in Gran Turismo 7, with only the 2011 GT3 car available so far.
