While the popular trucking sims on PC tend to add new locations as DLC, Soedesco are taking a different approach with Truck Driver: The Dutch Connection revealed for launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Autumn 2025.
Given that the Netherlands are mainly known for being fairly flat, it’s an unusual choice, possibly influenced by the Soedesco Studios offices in Rotterdam. It’s apparently set in a reimagined version of the country in 2027 with AI dispatchers working alongside human drivers as newcomer Lucas and veteran Felix go through the new narrative.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, you’ll be able to take on European trucking at your own pace with a Freedom-to-Roam mode, as you drive past dykes and windmills.. Apparently some of the other ‘breathtaking’ locations are inspired by both the Netherlands and other parts of Europe. Which should bring a bit more variety.
There’s not a lot more information, other than the fact it will be available as both a digital and physical release. More details, including an exact release date, will be shared in the coming weeks.
It’s the third standalone Truck Driver game in the series for consoles, alongside the mobile Truck Driver Go, and both the Heading North DLC and Gold Edition for the original. Only the first title and Heading North DLC were released on PC, with The American Dream arriving just for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
You can find it available to wishlist on the Microsoft store for the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation store for the PS5. Although it does face stiff competition after it was announced last month that American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 are also arriving on consoles in the near future.
