The arrival of new cars always grabs the attention, and that’s the case once again as the free Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.62 has launched.
Probably the most interesting for the four vehicles added are the two concept versions of the Chevrolet Corvette, showing a potential future for the American sports car. The road focused Corvette CX Concept ’25 is an electric hypercar with active aero, a unique canopy design, heads-up cockpit display, and the small matter of 2000hp quad motor all-wheel drive. The real concept car was first shown at the Monterrey Car Week earlier this month.

But that wasn’t the only concept Corvette revealed, and now available in Gran Turismo 7. There’s also the race version, called the Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo, which opts for a 900 horsepower twin-turbo 2.0 litre V8 which is mid-mounted, revs to 15,000 rpm, and also helps the car to reach 2,000hp in combination with a trio of electric motors. Other differences include more aggressive aero, a lower ride height, and less weight, along with a black and yellow livery helping to celebrate 25 years of the Corvette Racing program.

Also new for this year is the AFEELA 1 ’26, an electric 483hp twin-motor car which was revealed at CES 2025 with production starting in 2026.
And if you want something older and more quirky, there’s also the Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V ’02, with the French MPV offering plenty of space for family and luggage while you’re racing. Designed and manufacurered by affiliate Matra, when that company decided to pull out of car production, partly due to poor sales of the Avantime, the car was discontinued as one of the worst-sellers of all time.

Along with the four new cars, the update also includes more cars available for engine swaps, including the Avantime, new events in World Circuits, and a new Extra Menu for Japanese Racing Pioneers in the cafe.
