New JDM: Japanese Drift Master Video Shows Drift Tuning

April 11, 2025 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Now due to launch on May 21st 2025 for the PC, a new JDM: Japanese Drift Master video shows drift tuning options available in the game.

Originally planned for release in March and announced back in 2023, the launch of the game was delayed as developers Gaming Factory wanted to a bit more time to add some ‘final polish’. And now we know how you’ll also be able to add tuning and customisation. Currently four manufacturers are confirmed to appear in the gamer, with licensed cars from Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Subaru appearing.

Starting with a stock 2004 Nissan 350Z (known as the Fairlady Z33 in Japan), the appearance of the car can be changed using a fairly standard menu covering a wide range of options including wheel rims, bumpers, fenders, side mirrors, and an exhaust. And you can also upgrade the interior with choices including steering wheels, gear shifter and seats.

When it comes to turning, it includes both parts and settings, with more adjustability as you unlock higher quality performance modifications, including brakes, tyres, a welded differential and stiffer sway bars. From there you can adjust the ride height, wheel alignment, camber and more.

Obviously you can swap between a more grip-focused tune or one set up for drifting, or have different cars for each discipline.

And while the range of options aren’t ridiculously advanced compared to other leading simcade driving titles, it’s reassuring to see that you can dive into customisation and detailed tuning if you want to tweak your cars to be exactly how you prefer.
