Sim racers from the UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand can race for your country in the 2025 Four Nations Esports Cup, which is organised by Motorsport UK (along with the corresponding Motorsport organisations in each country), and takes place on iRacing.
After starting in 2022 as a competition between the UK and Australia, it became a three-way battle with New Zealand added in 2023 and 2024. And now South Africa has been added. With all four nations having long and successful histories in motorsport, it makes for an interesting esports series with prizes to be announced for the winners.

Anyone can take part in the pre-qualification, which is based on online hotlaps around the Okayama circuit in a McLaren 720 GT3 EVO using a fixed set-up. But you will need a paid Motorsport UK Esport Membership to participate in the main event on August 3rd, 2025.
Pre-qualification takes place in July 2025
The pre-qualification will run from 9am on July 19th until 9am on July 21st, 2025 on two Motorsport UK servers, with the details shared on their Discord. Along with a fixed set-up for the McLaren 720 GT3 EVO, there will also be static weather, time of day and track conditions, allowing for the fastest 10 drivers across both servers to be invited to the main event based on their lap times.
If you’re one of those sim racers, the main event is on August 3rd, with practice from 8am BST and qualifying at 8.20am. Once again you’re in a fixed set-up McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, but this time you’ll be competing in two 30 minute races, with one at Bathurst and the second at Silverstone. The highest overall individual driver and combined country points will decide the winners.
Along with a paid Motorsport UK Esports Membership, to take part you’ll also need to be 16 years or over, hold a UK passport, and you’ll need to join the Motorsport UK Esports Discord server for competition information. The prizes for the event are yet to be confirmed, but there’s no separate entry fee, and you can always see how the pre-qualification goes.
While you’re joining Discords, you’re more than welcome to also sign up with OnlineRaceDriver and Team ORD as a friendly group fo sim racers competing in various leagues, SoF races, special events and more. And check out more of our sim racing eSports coverage, here.
