With Polyphony Digital pushing out their latest release a day earlier than usual, it’s now been confirmed that there will be five new cars for Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.63, available on September 24th, 2025.
As usual, it’s a mixture of the unusual, and the slightly more unexceptional, with the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo alongside a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Adventure, and yet another flavour of the Mazda MX5.
The five new cars in Update 1.63 will be:
- Hyundai ELANTRA N ’23
- MAZDA SPIRIT RACING ROADSTER 12R ’25
- Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo
- Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V ’74
- Toyota RAV4 Adventure ’20

The Opel Corsa is obviously most interesting, especially as the base model will also be familiar to a lot of people under the Vauxhall badge. When I hear the name, I immediately associate it with learner drivers in the 1990s rather than the current model. So it’s interesting to see the first return of the Opel brand to the current Gran Turismo title with a concept offering 800hp, 800Nm of torque, a top speed of 320 km/h (198.8 miles per hour), and a massive rear diffuser to help keep you on the ground. Plus there’s an 80hp boost button to give a brief bit of additional power to the twin electric motors.
Two off-roaders might not be that exciting to most people, but the classic FJ40 Land Cruiser does have iconic looks if not performance. And it’s more interesting that the RAV4, but if you own one in real life it’s always nice to see your car digitally recreated.
Honestly, it’s a bit difficult to get too excited about the Hyundai Elantra, which is a fairly common car to appear in various racing games and sim titles, but is the first one with an internal combustion engine in Gran Turismo 7, and the front-wheel-drive combined with a turbo should make it fairly fun to drive. And the same is tru fo the Spirit Racing 12R, which is an attempt to create a 2025 ultimate version of the car, available only in Japan in the real world.
There’s not a big list of other attractions in Update 1.63. A handful of new races mainly featuring the new cars, and Bolivia being added to Scapes mode are about it
