With the game launching on April 29, 2026, there’s a new 15-minute MotoGP 26 gameplay video released by developers Milestone to boost your interest with footage featuring dry and wet MotoGP races, Motard and 1000cc production bikes.
The latest release in the official licensed franchise has a revamped physics model with a rider-based handling system, demonstrated by onboard footage of three lap races. The first uses Raul Fernandez on the TrackHouse Aprilia at COTA, followed by Fabio Qaurtararo on the factory Yamaha at Portimao, while a third putting factory Ducati rider Marc Marquez in a wet race at Silverstone for the British MotoGP round.

All of which looks fairly recognisable from previous games unless you’re very familiar with how the bikes and riders moved in previous instalments. What’s potentially more interesting is the section featuring VR46 rider Fabio Di Giannantonio riding a Motard around a fictional UK circuit. The file name references Canterbury Park, and while there’s actually a Canterbury Moto Trail Park in Kent, they don’t have a tarmac course surrounded by buildings (although there used to be a supermoto track in Lydd, not too far away).

I know MotoGP riders use road bikes, motards and minibikes for training, and tend to opt for the circuit-based knee-down style, but as a former supermoto owner, it always looks when people don’t go for the foot-out off-road option (although that does bring the potential of season-ending knee and angle injuries)
Finally the video also features one of the other new additions to the game, which will be 1000cc production bikes available in single-make events. And they feature all the riders of that brand across MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. Although it’ll be interesting to see how that’s done, as Moto3 is split between KTM and Honda, while Moto2 uses Triumph engines in either Kalex or Boscoscuro chassis, whatever brand might appear on the fairing.

Developed by Milestone, the official MotoGP games have always looked great over recent years. And MotoGP 26 is no different, as you can see from the screenshots and video. And given that Milestone are essentially motorcycle specialists with the RIDE series, official Supercross and MXGP titles and more under their belt, expanding the available bikes to ride does add a bit more variety.
It also makes a bit more sense than when the official F1 game added road cars, as it’s a big part of off-season training, and there have been a number of high profile injuries disrupting the season of various riders in recent years.
MotoGP 26 will be available for the PC via the Steam, Epic and Microsoft stores, the PS5 via the PlayStation store, the Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft store, and the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 via the eShop, along with physical copies available via retailers including Amazon.
