The Virtual Motorsports SpecRacing Series will move onto Forza Motorsport 5 with a dual timezone format allowing drivers from both the EU and U.S to race at the most appropriate times.
Series 7 will use the 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R at specified C500 level build, and runs for 8 weeks from March 13-May 1st, 2014. The courses will be:
- Road Atlanta Full
- Sebring Full
- Silverstone Grand Prix
- Catalunya National
- Prague Short Reverse
- Yas Marina Corkscrew
- Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
- Road America West
Qualifying sessions will begin at 8pm GMT every Thursday for the EU race, with the US competitors at 7pm CDT/10am AEST. Drivers will be able to enter into at least two of four championships for the Series, with the Drivers, Team and Privateer championships, plus a separate championship for Rookies to the series.
It’s officially sponsored by Turn 10, so winners will receive rewards including downloadable content, in-game credits and gift cars. Prizes will go to the overall winner and top 10 drivers, plus the top 5 Teams, Privateers and Rookies,and a random winner will be selected from all drivers completing 7 of the 8 scheduled races.
With a set C500 level build, it’s a good series for those who might not want to spend hours tuning to be able to race with drivers who are organised and respectful in competition.
