One week on from our session at Oulton Park’s short Fosters course, we’re back for a visit to another classy British circuit.
‘Round the park…
This time round, Lincolnshire is the county and the testing Cadwell Park is the spot for some driving. ‘Short’ being the order of the, er… week, the Club layout was chosen alongside a nippy little Euro racer known as Renault’s Clio RS Cup.
A handful it was too!
Narrowness prevailed over the brief run of the tarmac and with the Clio ready and willing to swap nose with tail at any moment, a sense of being on the edge ran over much of the course.
Though holding some impression of its in-development status at Cadwell Park, Project CARS nonetheless also managed to show signs of what is to come. From track details and spectator and marshall animation to the recently added lighting effects, CARS is adding to its simulator leanings with graphical flourishes that have been expected only of the consoles. Then there’s the audio, the feedback, the constant physics development…
Next Gen is coming! This time.
