Fanatec ClubSport F1 2020 Steering Wheel Teased

For the third consecutive year, the German sim racing wheel and pedal manufacturer will celebrate a partnership with Formula 1 by releasing a new product. And the limited edition Fanatec ClubSport F1 2020 steering wheel teased by the company looks pretty interesting.

The official release will be on Thursday May 14th 2020 at 3pm CET, when the new F1 2020 ClubSport will be available on the Fanatec website. And you might need to be quick to get one, as just 2020 units will be available worldwide.

The first year of limited edition Fanatec F1 wheels saw supplies of 500 units sell out without 24 hours. So you might need to have your credit card ready and waiting.

In 2018, Fanatec released a gold-accented F1 2018 wheel, which also added new features which became part of the ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2. And for F1 2019, the wheel was a bright silver version.

Apparently not only will the Fanatec ClubSport F1 2020 steering wheel teased look amazing when it’s revealed, but it will also come with some new technology and new materials used. So that will be interesting to see, along with the price point of the new sim racing wheel.

For a ballpark idea, the Fanatec ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 2019 limited edition, and the Fanatec ClubSpot Steering Wheel F1 2018 came in at 349.95 Euros. But obviously you’ll also need a compatible Fanatec wheel base unless it’s being bought to sit on a shelf as a display piece!

Obviously, you’ll be able to use the wheel for any sim racing title, although we’d imagine it’ll definitely be compatible with F1 2020!

We’ve already seen Fanatec teasing a new WRC-themed wheel for 2020, and become partners with WRC in addition to Formula One. And you can keep up with the latest news on sim racing wheels, pedals and accessories here. Or focus on Fanatec news and updates, here.

As well as the official Fanatec website, you can also find wheels, pedals and equipment available from the firm on Amazon. And if your budget is tight, why not browse for a good secondhand deal on Fanatec gear on eBay?
