There’s already plenty do do and explore in the off-road trucking simulation, but if you want new content and challenges, then it’s worth checking out the short video below explaining how to install mods in SnowRunner.
The game was launched at the end of April 2020, and partnered with mod.io to make it easier for modders to create content, and players to be able to use it. At the time of writing, there are already 139 mods listed, including all kinds of vehicles and customisation options.
At the moment modding is limited to the PC, but the video reveals mods will also be coming to console versions soon. Along with the ability to modify the interior of your vehicles.
And with a strong modding community, it means the life of the game is likely to be a lot longer, which is always a good thing if you’re planning on dedicating yourself to exploring the wilderness in your truck…
SnowRunner is available for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, along with a Season Pass for the first year of additional content DLC. It’s developed by Saber Interactive, and published by Focus Home Interactive, as the sequel to the Mudrunner games.
You can buy SnowRunner for the PC from the Epic Games store. It’s also available as a digital download from the Microsoft Store for the Xbox One, and the PlayStation Store for the PS4. Physical editions of SnowRunner are available from Amazon.
