Next generation console owners can enjoy trucking through a higher definition wilderness with the frame rate to match when the SnowRunner Xbox Series X|S and PS5 editions arrive on May 31st, 2022.
If you already own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions, a free upgrade will be available, allowing you to also experience the various terrains and landscapes in up to 4K UDH and 60 fps. And PS5 owners will be able to feel the terrain underneath their wheels with the DualSense controller Haptic Feedback, which should help you maintain traction and momentum.
Crossplay with other platforms will be available at release, including with the Nintendo Switch. And modders have been given the chance to update their creations ready for the new SnowRunner Xbox Series X|S and PS5 editions.
There’s also a new update coming in April, which includes Season 7 content. The new summer map will be located in Tennessee USA, with a light scout car and racing truck also arriving in a region centred about motorsport, including time trials and multiplayer racing. It’s the penultimate DLC content to be released as part of the Year 2 Pass, with Season 8 coming at some point in Summer 2022.
SnowRunner was originally released in April 2020 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a Switch release the following year. The sequel to MudRunner was developed by Saber Interactive, and published by Focus Entertainment.
