F1 22 Original Game Soundtrack Comes To Streaming Services

Fans of the orchestral music featured in the latest Codemasters game can now listen to it whenever they want as the F1 22 Original Game Soundtrack comes to streaming services. The 18 songs are available via Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.

Rather than the Official Soundtrack, which licensed music from the likes of Charli XCX, Diplo, Marshmello and The Bloody Beetroots (who were heavily featured as part of RiMS Racing) the Original Game Soundtrack features the work of electronic artist Mihalis Aikaterinis as MIKTEK, and Ivor Novello award-winning composer Ian Livingstone, which features vocals by Julie Seechuck and the musicians of the Sofia Session Orchestra.

Livingstone has composed more than 100 secores for series including Battlefield, Total War and Warhammer, along with racing franchises incuding Project Gotham Racing, GRID, Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, MotoGP, and previous F1 games from Codemasters. So it’s safe to say that you’ve heard his work, even if you might not have realised it at the time.

And speaking from personal experience, while I tend to turn off the music for any racing game to let me hear the roar of the engines, I do use various classical game soundtracks as background when I’m working. And some of the tracks from F1 22 might need to be added to the playlist now.

The video above also shows how much time, effort and skill goes into elements of games like the soundtrack. Which is easy to overlook when you’re rushing through menus and settings to get out on track as quickly as possible.
