Upgraded New Next Level Racing GT Racer 2.0 Launches

February 12, 2025 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Last updated on July 22nd, 2025 at 03:40 pm

With the original sim racing cockpit being a solid choice, the upgraded new Next Level Racing GT Racer 2.0 launches for the same price as the original, retailing at £379.

It’s always been a competitive choice if you’re looking for a rig which supported direct drive wheels up to 13Nm, with a reclining sports seat. But for 2025, the Australian company has made some improvements which will make it more comfortable and usable.

Better double seat sliders and upgraded double recliners will make it easier to adjust your position even when driving, or if multiple people will use your sim rig. And a stronger reclining mechanism means more rigidity in the seat, especially if you’re a little heavy-footed on the gas and brake pedals.

But one of the big changes is a new, wider GT-style racing seat with additional padding and better lumbar and back support. So while it is recommended for those between 130cm and 200cm (3’9″ and 6’7″) with a maximum weight of 130 kg or 286 lbs, which is almost identical to the original, it’ll be a much more comfortable sim racing experience for taller or larger drivers.

The other notable change is the pedal tray which is now adjustable, so you can angle it to the perfect position, meaning that you can use a wider range of products, and tilt them to your own personal preference. It also has integrated left or right-side mounting options for shifters and handbrakes, and continues to come with a ButtKicker Mount as well.

“The GTRacer 2.0 builds on the success of the original GTRacer, with refinements and new features that our sim racing community asked for. It’s a true evolution—offering an even more immersive experience while staying budget-friendly,” said Hess Ghah, CEO of Next Level Racing.

You can find the new Next Level Racing GT Racer 2.0 on the company website, and their products are stocked by various retailers, including Overclockers.
