A new Hypercar class is arriving soon with news the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh is coming to RaceRoom as part of the Q2 2025 update.
Images of the BMW have been teased on social media ahead of a more detailed announcement in the upcoming GridTalk Youtube show. Back in March, RaceRoom shared a more obscured image of the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh GTP, suggesting the pair will be arriving together in the near future.
Along with GT3s, the Hypercar class is always popular in sim racing, and the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh is currently drivable in iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Forza Motorsport, so it’ll be really interesting to see how KW Studios handle the car compared to the other virtual versions. Especially given the complexity of modern hybrid systems.

Also being teased at the moment are Alfa Romeo and Opel Super Touring cars, and the Alemannenring street circuit. So it seems that KW Studios are aiming for a nice blend of popular modern cars and more unusual classic content that helps RaceRoom differentiate itself from the other sim racing titles currently available.
The benefit of releasing new cars and tracks has to be balanced with the potential that there’s not enough sim racers to populate lobbies, but given that RaceRoom has a smaller selection of official events running at any time, the addition of hypercars might attract a few people to see how these versions compare. And it might encourage them to explore the sim a bit more in the future.
You can download Raceroom Racing Experience on the PC for free via Steam. Some additional content is available via Steam, but everything can be purchased via the official game store.
