Three more cars have arrived with the new Formula Legends: Pioneer Pack DLC released just a week after the Tech Power DLC arrived. Wheras those cars featured on innovation in technology, this collection is about iconic people and teams in top class open wheel racing.
The three cars including in the pack are:
- The Mclauden Mid 70
- The Tram Tram Late 60
- The Gass Mid 20
Or to put the fictional cars into more real world context, the Mclauden Mid 70s resembles the McLaren M23 which raced from 1973 until 1976 and helped both Emmerson Fittipaldi and James Hunt win driver championships. Fittpaldi was the first champion for the team founded by New Zealander Bruce McLaren, and along with Denny Hulme, also took them to their first constructors’ title.

The Tram Tram late 60s looks much like the 1986 Brabham BT26 running a high rear wing used on many F1 cars of that era, for the team originally founded by Australian Jack Brabham, the first driver to win a race in a car of his own construction (and one of only three to ever do it, along with Bruce McLaren and Dan Gurney). And he’s still the only driver to have ever won the F1 World Championship in his own car.
And the Gass Mid 20 looks a lot like a Hass VF-24, with team owner Gene Haas creating his own team in 2016 after founded various NASCAR outfits since 2002.
Formula Legends is now available for the PC via Steam, Epic, GOG and Green Man Gaming, the PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft store and for the Nintendo Switch via the eShop. Keep up with the latest Formula Legends news and more, here.
