If you like world building as much as driving, then sandbox arcade racer CARBOX launches on December 9th, 2025 for the PC.
Developed by HUES Games, you get racing, taxi missions and a police chase mode, allowing you to earn cups, unlock new vehicles and compete on global leaderboards for the best times. There’s also a health bar and gas mode, which limits your fuel and ability to withstand damage before you reach the finish.
And if that’s not enough, there’s also a blind spot mode, which requires you to drive through a world being built in real time.
Each vehicle varies in handling, and will be impacted by the terrain and biome. And you also get reactive AI traffic, along with a day-night cycle.

What could make CARBOX stand out is the World Editor. You’re able to create circuits, and even cities, with environments ranging from snow landscapes to sandy deserts. It’s promised to be easy to use, and to share your creations with a single click, which could lead to all kinds of creations appearing. Combined with the cute toy car styling, it could be a lot of fun to explore the weird imagination of other players. Or building your own location up from scratch.

A lot will depend on both the car handling, and the World Editor. There’s a demo version currently available on Steam, which was recently updated on November 20th with a new campaign, so you can try it out for yourself ahead of the full launch and see if it appeals.
You can wishlist CARBOX for the PC, along with the demo, on Steam, and keep up with all the latest news on arcade racing games, here.
