It’s not that long until Forza Horizon 6 launches for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version arriving later in the year. And after sharing details of cars, houses and customisation, now two new Forza Horizon 6 clips showcase Japanese scenery.

Both are 30 seconds long and were originally shared on X. The first features the coast, with fishing boats, houses, a kei truck with trailer and a shrine.
And the second shows the wooded scenery of the lowlands, with cherry blossom on the road, dirt tracks and winding togue routes, all under the shadow of the mountains in the distance.
It follows the latest update from developers Playground Games, outlining 10 new features coming to Forza Horizon 6, including landscapes like the Mt Haruna and Bandai Azuma mountain passes, roads inspired by the C1 loop, and features of Tokyo City including Shibuya Crossing, Ginko Avenue and Tokyo Tower.

And while the clips might not reveal any new cars, locations are a key factor in enjoying a Forza Horizon title. When Forza Horizon 4 was released with settings in Scotland, the Lake District and the Cotswolds, it definitely stuck a chord with many gamers. And not being as familiar with the Mexican setting of Forza Horizon 5 definitely made a difference to me, but helped to achieve new record sales for the series with people who appreciated the setting, including murals and music.
With the importance of Japan in global car culture, the feel and immersion of the location is probably more important than in any previous Forza Horizon game, which is probably why it’s being highlighted so much.
Forza Horizon 6 will be released for the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud. You’re also able to pre-order it for consoles via the Microsoft store, and for the PC via Steam.
