With the new ranked multiplayer system boosting driver numbers, it was a shame to see the Daytona 2.4 Hour Special Event unable to run as planned due to a critical failure in the server system. So now RaceRoom is running a special test event on February 14, 2026 to check everything is fixed, along with other updates to also improve the stability of ranked multiplayer.
The test will feature the LMDh and GT3 class at Daytona, and is set to start from 19:00 CET or 18:00 UTC.

Presumably there will be enough sim racers and KW Studios staff who aren’t already booked for a romantic evening on Valentine’s Day. Especially when it will be a full race test, which presumably means the chance to spend 2.4 hours racing.
I’d definitely be tempted if I was available that evening. Short races are fine during the week, but it’s nice to get into the flow of longer events on weekends. Especially when it will probably be unranked, allowing you to just enjoy the action rather than worrying about your result too much.

Hopefully it will also demonstrate that the server fix and other multiplayer updates have improved things. Every online game will have issues occasionally, and I’ve had major problems in big races on other platforms recently. But given that RaceRoom has been growing in momentum recently, it’s an unfortunate time to have an issue in a fairly big and well-publicised special event.
You can download Raceroom Racing Experience on the PC for free via Steam. Some additional content is available via Steam, but everything can be purchased via the official game store.
