The latest paid addition to the 3DClouds retro-themed racing game has arrived, and the Formula Legends Iconic Tracks DLC adds 3 familiar circuits for motorsport fans.
Inspired by real venues, it’s not too tricky to work out which locations provided the basis for each circuit. The included tracks and layouts are:
- Austria – Vintage, Classic, Modern
- Malaysia – Classic, Modern
- Bahrain – Modern
They’re not only available in quick races and time trials, but also become integrated into the Career mode, which is a nice touch.

If you’re a fan of F1 or many other racing series, you’ll probably imagine that the Malaysia track has been inspired by the Sepang International Circuit which opened in 1999. And notably features two long straights and a tight hairpin at the end of each lap. Along with the umbrella shade over the main grandstand.

The Bahrain International Circuit opened in March 2004, and hosted the first Formula One race held in the Middle East in the same year. And like Sepang, was designed by Hermann Tilke.

Finally comes Austria, with an iron unicorn statue and available in Vintage, Classic and Modern layouts. The Osterreichring originally existed from 1969 in Spielberg, Austria as a 3.673 mile track until it was redesigned in the mid 1990s, again by Hermann Tilke, and renamed the A1-Ring, before being sold to Red Bull in 2004 and reconstructed as the current Red Bull Ring.
Alongside the DLC, 3DClouds have also released Formula Legends Patch 1.4.5 which also improves AI behaviour, including better battery management and more varied qualifying results, enhances the UI, and adds a Classic Points System for both Story Mode and Custom Championships to really let you relive the experience of classic single-seater racing. They also mention that some new DLC will be announced soon tired to a major officially licensed championship, which sounds interesting, along with the planned release of online multiplayer scheduled for summer 2026, with a Closed Beta in May.
The Formula Legends Iconic Tracks DLC costs £4.99.
Formula Legends is now available for the PC via Steam, Epic, GOG and Green Man Gaming, the PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft store and for the Nintendo Switch via the eShop.
