F1 2014: F1 2013 Head-to-Head Spa Video

Thanks to Codemasters’ recent F1 2014: Spa Hot Lap video, we’ve been able to make our first side-by-side footage with the new game. The opportunity arose to make a brief return to F1 2013, so we’ve added a new comparison piece to the OnlineRaceDriver YouTube channel.

Using the #14 Force India-Mercedes VJM06 of Paul di Resta at Spa-Francorchamps, identical wet conditions were chosen. That meant using Intermediate tyres and resulted in getting the two laps as close in looks as possible in stock form from games of different seasons.

Featuring this year’s turbo-powered V6 racing cars, F1 2014 will be released in October on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Last week, we took an initial look at what’s to come in F1 2014. The news there included the plans for F1 2015 that will see it not only reach the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but also line up better with the real-world championship. Both good developments, we’re sure you’ll agree!
