Console owners can enjoy some improvements with new Wreckfest PS4 and Xbox One updates released on both platforms today. This takes the Playstation edition up to version 1.11, and Xbox One to version 1.1.0.1.
In both cases you’ll get a better optimised performance, new loaner cars, and more variety of events showing up for multiplayer servers. Which is all good news if you want to enjoy some crash-strewn racing or demolition derby fun.
We’ve been playing a lot of the PC version after picking it up in a Steam sale recently, and it’s been great to unwind from more serious sim racing by competing in a motorised Sofa, or trying to demolish a field full of combine harvesters. And both of those vehicles can now be loaned, if you fancy trying them out.
Wreckfest is also a title which looks pretty good on a decent PC, and the visual improvemements will make a better impression on consoles, with the 4K mode getting some optimisation for both PS4 and Xbox One editions.
Xbox One Wreckfest Version 1.1.0.1. Changelog:

If you haven’t got the game already, then check out the latest prices at Game or Amazon. In both cases, we’d recommend the Deluxe Edition, which gives you the game and Season Pass for £29.99 new, which is less than buying the Standard Edition, for some reason… And cheaper than the PC version, which is fairly unusual.
