If you want to try the latest Kunos Simulazioni title without paying the full retail price then there are two choices for you during May 2020. You can play Assetto Corsa Competizione for free or save 40% depending on whether you fancy diving in, or trying before you buy.
It’s not been officially confirmed, but a free Steam weekend has been widely reported around the internet. This is said to start on Friday May 29th, and run until May 31st, 2020. So you’ll be able to play Assetto Corsa Competizione for free, and potentially Kunos Simulazioni may offer discounts around the same time to encourage those who try it and like it to invest.
But if you can’t wait that long, then you can always save money by buying Assetto Corsa Competizione through a Humble Bundle deal which runs until May 21st. So it will have ended before the free weekend, but means you can get the standard game for £20.99, which is a 40% saving right now.
So you can wait to play Assetto Corsa Competizione for free or save 40% by buying from Humble Bundle right now. Obviously we won’t know if there’s any larger saving coming from Kunos Simulazioni on Steam, and whether that will also include the Intercontinental GT Pack. But we do know it’s a great sim racing title, so you won’t be too upset if you miss out on an extra pound or two in savings.

It makes sense for Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games to ramp up interest in the PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione ahead of the Xbox One and PS4 versions, which are planned to release on June 23rd, 2020. The console editions are available to pre-order now from Game and Amazon, which is well worth doing as you’ll get the Intercontinental GT Pack for free as a pre-order bonus.
You can also get the pre-order DLC bonus by pre-ordering from the Microsoft Store for Xbox One. It’s not yet listed on the PlayStation Store.
