The GT4 pack will be added to the PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione in July, with a release in Autumn for the Xbox One and PS4. So Kunos Simulazioni have continued to ramp up with excitement with two new ACC KTM X-Bow and Porsche 718 Cayman GT preview videos.
We’ve already seen the BMW M4 GT4 in a video to build excitement for the GT4 Pack, which adds 11 new choices to the Assetto Corza Competizione car list. And the video intros confirm all the cars appearing, with only the Ford Mustang and Toyota Supra absent from the GT4 selection.
The KTM X-Bow GT4
The normal KTM X-Bow for road or track use appeared in 2008 with a 237hp 2 litre turbo Audi engine, light weight and track focused-handling. And along with the 2011 X-Bow R version, with 300hp, it’s appeared in a range of games including Gran Turismo, Forza Horizon and Assetto Corsa.
But then the Austrian firm worked with Dallara and Reiter Engineering to created the GT4 version. Differences include a 17cm longer wheelbase, carbon monocoque chassis, rear diffusor, and around 360bhp depending on the series specification.
So it should be a lot of fun to drive in Assetto Corsa Competizione when the GT4 pack arrives on a July date still to be confirmed.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR
KTM might be a fairly new name in endurance racing, especially when you compare it with the historic legancy of Porsche.
It’s what happens when you take a Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport, and then get Manthey-Racing to adjust it for the GT4 class.
Changes include polycarbonate front and rear windows, BBS wheels, and carbon fibre parts including the bumpers, doors, bonnet, boot lid and rear spoiler.
All of that compliments the 4.0 litre six-cylinder engine.
If the two new ACC KTM X-Bow GT4 and Porsche 718 Cayman Preview Videos have got you excited for the release of the GT4 pack, then you’ll need a copy of the game, if you don’t own it already.
