If you’re a fan of the movie franchise or simple racing action, then you might be excited to see Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition launched for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.
As we previously mentioned, it’s based on the original arcade cabinets developed by Raw Thrills (which have also been released as a home arcade machine in 2023 by Arcade1up), with this version developed by Cradle Games and published by GameMill. Which means you can use eight iconic cars featured in the Fast & Furious films to race in ‘cinematic’ style with drifting and nitro boosts whilst taking on bonus challenge missions.

If you’ve seen the films go from being about cars to stopping plans for world domination, then you’ll understand why you might be asked to stop a missile in the Swiss Alps or ground a plan in Hong Kong in your Dodge Charger R/T.
You’re able to customise the look of your car, and there are branching paths or stealth shortcuts to encourage replayability, along with local split-screen multiplayer. But that’s up against the small roster of eight cars, six mission locations, and no characters or storylines from the films themselves.

If you’re a fan of the original arcade game, the Raw Thrills sequels or their first console racing title Cruis’n Blast, then you’ll know exactly what to expect. And it does mean you can enjoy it without lurking around the local bowling alley with a pocket full of change, or having to enter a pin number to access your previous progress.
Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition is available for the PS5 via the PlayStation store, the Switch via the Nintendo eShop and the Series X|S via the Xbox Store, at a launch price of £24.99.
