Released on Steam Early Access back in March 2021 with a 1:1 recreation of Berlin, development continues from TML-Studios with The Bus Update 2.2 released.
And it’s a hefty download of 11.89GB for a fairly short changelog. But one that does include upgrading to Unreal Engine 5.1, along with some other fixes and optimisation. The release number is actually 0.18.58331 if you’re paying close attention to development.
The other addition is a new bus accessory system, which arrives after a week of being available in the Beta release of the update.
Development has been pretty consistent on the driving simulator, with Update 2.1 arriving back in February 2023, and bringing new live events and interactive online traffic radio. And the first efforts created with the newly available modding tools have also started to appear in the Steam workshop over the last couple of months as well, hopefully widening what’s available in The Bus with 303 entires currently listed in the Steam Workshop, including vehicles, audio and liveries.
And it’s always nice to take a break from sim racing for a while and chill out with one of the various driving simulators. It’s published by Aerosoft, who released the original OMSI Bus Simulator more than a decade ago, while developed TML previously created Fernbus Simulator, recently released for consoles.

The Bus Update 2.2 Release Notes:
- Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.1
