Fanatec and Nissan Announce Officially Licensed Wheels

July 7, 2026 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

We’ve seen McLaren, BMW, Bentley and Porsche wheels from the sim racing hardware company in the past, and now Fanatec and Nissan announce officially licensed wheels.

The partnership was revealed with a plan to develop wheels “inspired by the brand’s performance driving heritage”. Obvious contenders include the Skyline GT-R range, and the various Z cars produced since 1969 to the present day. But there’s also the opportunity to do something different with the Nissan 200SX being a drift icon, and Fanatec currently offering the Clubsport Drift V2.

Personally, I’d love to see more vintage wheels, like a Nissan Skyline GT-R Hakosuka or a 1969 Nissan Fairlady Z option. There are only so many GT3 wheels any sim racer might need, after all. But you can never have too many vintage wheel rims as ornaments as well as sim racing options. Although I’m not sure I need to hold onto my memories of the strange two-spoke late 1980s Micra wheel.

“We are thrilled to welcome Fanatec on board and are excited to collaborate with them on this new, exciting, licensed category extension for Nissan. We have long-standing gaming partners that we support and an avid global fan base of keen sim racers, so we are sure this licensed product will be a welcome addition!” said Yukika Sato, Senior Manager at Nissan.

“We are excited to partner with Nissan on officially licensed products,” said Tobias Stelzer, VP and General Manager at Fanatec. “Nissan has a passionate global fan base and a strong connection to driving enthusiasts, making this a natural fit for Fanatec and the sim racing community.”

More details including the product specifications, availability and launch date will be announced later in 2026.
